During her final day on March 2, Fu Bao received heartfelt farewell gifts from her keepers and dedicated fans at Everland.

Fu Bao was born to parents Ai Bao and Le Bao as part of China’s “panda diplomacy” program. She quickly became South Korea’s first naturally-bred panda, and Everland’s social media channels provided fans with regular updates on her development through videos. Fu Bao’s YouTube channel grew to over 1.2 million subscribers and surpassed 500 million cumulative views, offering fans a glimpse into her life from birth to childhood.

Fu Bao’s Next Adventure: A New Home in China

According to an announcement from Everland, Fu Bao will be transferred to the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda in Sichuan Province in early April. She will remain at Everland for a month to prepare for her new environment before being transferred overseas in accordance with international regulations. Once Fu Bao leaves, there will be four giant pandas remaining at Everland: Ai Bao, Le Bao, and their twin babies Rui Bao and Hui Bao.
